Take the Bait

Braidhaugh is located near several popular spots for anglers including the River Earn, famous for its trout and salmon fishing. A fishing licence for the River Earn is required and these can be purchased from our reception during the season, which runs from March to October.

Another top fishing spot, Loch Monzievaird lies a mere ten minutes away and holds a good head of wild brown and American brook trout and with access only possible by boat, fishing here promises tranquillity and fabulous views even if the fish aren’t biting!

Lace up your Boots

Right on our doorstep, the River Earn offers a gentle stroll along an avenue of mature oak, lime, beech and sweet chestnut trees. Continue along the banks and you’ll be rewarded with Lady Mary’s Walk which, regardless of season, offers a picturesque landscape.

Those keen to hike can set off and uncover the many beautiful walks including hill-walking expeditions – a list of our recommended walks is available on request.
