But with so many to choose from, how can you be sure that when you stay with us, you’re playing on the best golf courses in Scotland?

Well, fear not, we have ‘putt’ together our top selection of courses, all easily accessible from our holiday parks. So all you need to do is tee off!

St Andrew’s Links

Just a short drive from our Fife Park, Letham Feus and Sauchope Links, St Andrew’s is arguably the very home of golf. The game has been played here for over 600 years, and the club is one of the oldest in the world. Offering magnificent views across the Scottish countryside along with a championship course, St Andrew’s Links is naturally number one in our list of the best golf courses in Scotland.

Kingsbarn Golf Links, Crail

If you’re staying with us at Letham Feus or Sauchope Links then be sure to add Kingsbarn to your list. Unveiled in 2000, Kingsbarn is recognised as one of the world’s most outstanding courses. Architect, designer, and developer, the earth literally moved in order to create this stunning course, with more than 300,000 cubic metres of ground shifted. The result? A sweeping swathe of rolling green landscape with the sea as a backdrop in every frame. A game here is an absolute must.

Lundin Golf Club

On the doorstep of both Letham Feus and Sauchope Links lies Lundin Golf Club, founded in 1868. Having once been shared between Leven Links and Lundin, the original 18 holes were evenly split, with architect James Braid assisting Lundin in the design of an additional 9 holes in 1909. Today, the course remains much as it was packed with a little bit of everything, including blind drives and bunkers; it makes for a memorable game.

Balcomie, Crail

This pretty golf course is so close to Sauchope Links you could probably play from your doorstep, although we don’t recommend it! Lying on a narrow peninsula, the northerly winds which blow here can make for an interesting game. Balcomie Castle is easily viewed as you play with Balcomie itself the home of the Crail Golfing Society, the ninth oldest in the world, formed in 1786. This isn’t a championship course, but with the unique weather conditions, incredible views and proximity to the shoreline, it promises a dramatic game of golf.

Gleneagles

Guests staying with us at Braidhaugh benefit from easy access to the majestic Gleneagles golf resort, famed as one of the best in the world. Surrounded by the beautiful Scottish mountains, the courses here offer a range of play, from moorland tracks to immaculate greens. With a rich history, gorgeous scenery and a choice of courses, we highly recommend it’s one you add to your list.

Aberfeldy Golf Club

If you are staying with us at Loch Tay or Cruachan and fancy a pleasant 9 holes, then head to Aberfeldy Golf Club. Incredibly scenic, this pretty flat course is predominantly made up of parkland, welcoming a range of ages and abilities. Founded in 1895, Aberfeldy is well-established and welcoming, with plenty of water hazards to overcome.

Whilst by no means comprehensive, we hope this list provides a good starting point to play on some of the best golf courses in Scotland. However, there are literally hundreds of golf courses across the country, each with something a little different to the next.

Excellent lodge accommodation, where we enjoyed a fabulous family break.

Staff were very friendly, and kids loved using the hot tub. Dog friendly too.
