It is a place where you can fully immerse yourself in the great outdoors come rain or shine, be it winter or summer. One of the best ways to uncover any new destination is on foot and Perthshire is no exception. In fact the region is home to a plethora of walking routes from gentle lochside strolls to more adventurous hikes and trails, winding up steep mountains with the reward of sweeping views stretching for miles. So make sure you pack some comfy walking shoes or boots because walking here is absolutely one of the best things to do, its free, your dog can join you and the landscape here is simply unrivalled.

No visit to Scotland would be complete without picking up a golf club and with Perthshire home to some of the finest courses in Scotland, it's not surprising we have included this on our top things to do in Perthshire list. Each course here promises stunning scenery with well-kept greens as well as fascinating history. There are plenty of golf courses close to each of our parks in the region so whether you stay at Braidhaugh Holiday Park, Loch Tay Highland Lodges or Cruachan Farm, you can have a go to see if you're pitch-perfect.

For a little less action you can explore the Red Deer Centre, enjoying close encounters including the chance to feed these gentle creatures.

Their RIB safari's are a chance to skim across one of Scotland's deepest lochs allowing you to take in the true majesty of this beautiful body of water. If you stay with us during the winter months then you can enjoy the snow at Glencoe Mountain just an hour away from Loch Tay and Cruachan. Home to the longest and steepest ski run in Scotland, there's plenty of fun to be had here whether you're a novice or experienced skier, you can even have a go at sledging! And at the end of the day, cosy up in front of the fire back at your Largo Leisure lodge or soothe aches in a bubbling hot tub as the snow glitters around you.
