Discovering Dog-Friendly Accommodation in Perthshire: Steph and the Spaniels' Stay at Braidhaugh Holiday Park

Steph and the Spaniels recently visited us at Braidhaugh Holiday Park. Here’s what they had to say about our dog-friendly accommodation in Perthshire!

“Scotland is one of our favourite places, so heading back is always a pleasure. We recently took another trip up and stayed at the gorgeous Largo Leisure park, Braidhaugh Holiday Park.”

“Although we had never been there before, it was still within easy reach of some of our favourite places. We visited the Loch Lomond and Glencoe areas before we checked in for our few days of rest.
Living in a van means we get to visit, see and explore a lot, but with this holiday park, we really wanted time to rest and reset for both ourselves and the dogs. This was a great park to do it in, being small but having everything we needed, including a great selection of dog-friendly accommodation in Perthshire.”

“Their on-site laundrette was super helpful not only for van-lifers but also for those staying for longer periods. The accommodation was gorgeous, too, with a hot tub and terrace area. The lodge was a great size for two adults and two dogs—we stayed in a contemporary lodge with a hot tub, which felt like such a lovely treat.
The outside space was lovely, and the hot tub made it an extra special trip; with the weather behaving itself, we even managed to have a little BBQ, too!”

“It was a little tricky with the dogs as there was no enclosed outdoor space, and inside became warm with the nicer weather. However, we soon managed to secure them, and they enjoyed a chew while we were in the hot tub.
The dogs had some baskets waiting for them on arrival as well as some treats and poo bags- always needed for a stay in dog-friendly accommodation in Perthshire!
There’s a local park just next door, which was great for letting the dogs off for a quick run around and a wee in the morning.”

‘The location of the park is very sweet, with a gorgeous river running through it and a few lovely places to eat. We had a lovely meal at the Meadow Inn, which was also dog-friendly. We also found the best bagel place called Bannisters, which we got to go to. I’m still thinking about it and highly suggest heading there if you’re in the area.
Walking into town only took about 15 minutes, so it’s really not far, and it meant we didn’t have to worry about parking whilst having a stroll around.
There are also lots of walks nearby, although we went a little further and had a gorgeous long walk at Loch Tay. The dogs had so much fun, and we didn’t see any other dogs during the whole walk, which is great for my two reactive spaniels.
A top tip from me for anyone holidaying in Scotland - remember to use tick treatment if you’re in Scotland with your dogs; the warm weather and being by the water make it a true feast for them, so do check your dogs after each walk.”

“Braidhaugh has several different accommodation types, including glamping pods and motorhome parking. I loved the camper spots with hot tubs. We are always looking for the best campervan park-ups, so this was great to see. Some of the accommodations have river view spots, too, which made the whole park very peaceful and sweet.
Overall, we loved our dog-friendly accommodation in Perthshire. We loved visiting a new place, and it was close enough for day trips to visit other stunning places around Scotland.”
