Scotland offers the perfect blend of stunning landscapes, cosy accommodation and pet-friendly activities to ensure that both you and your pet have a memorable holiday. 

We have put together the below itinerary on how you could enjoy a two-night stay at Largo Leisure, exploring some of Scotland's hidden gems with your beloved dog in tow.
 

Day 1: Arrival and Local Exploration


Morning: Arrival and Check-in
To make the most of your time away we suggest arriving at one of our pet-friendly holiday parks in Scotland in the morning. Whether you prefer camping under the stars, glamping in style or staying in a comfortable lodge or house, we have dog-friendly options to suit every taste. So take some time to settle in before setting off on your pet-friendly adventure!


Afternoon: Discover the Local Area
Following a gentle morning it’s time to stretch those legs and get some new sniffs in! Set off to spend the afternoon discovering some of Scotland's beautifully charming villages. 

Those staying with us at Sauchope Links or Letham Feus may choose to visit picture-perfect Crail for a leisurely walk along the scenic coastline or through its historic streets.
If you’re with us at Braidhaugh then take a stroll into the market town of Crieff where you can wander through the town centre as well as the nearby parks. 

If you’ve joined us at Cruachan or Loch Tay then take a trip into Killin, nestled at the western head of Loch Tay. Enjoy a scenic walk to the stunning Falls of Dochart whilst taking in the majestic Scottish Highlands. 

If you opted for a break at Campsie Glen, we highly recommend visiting ancient Stirling, with its rich history and stunning architecture. Explore the grounds of Stirling Castle to enjoy breathtaking city views before meandering around the pretty streets.

 

Evening: Dining at Pet-Friendly Spots
There’s no need to leave your dog at home when you head out for your evening meal, they can come and enjoy an a-la-bark meal too!

Our bar and bistro at Campsie Glen gladly accepts pets with The Boathouse renown for its pet-friendly menu and stunning views, making it the perfect place to unwind together after a busy day in the great outdoors. 
You’ll also find a wide selection of pet-friendly pubs, restaurants, and cafes wherever you head, or you can simply relax in style at our self-catering dog-friendly properties. They all come fully equipped, so shop for local goodies during your day to enjoy in comfort back at your accommodation while your dog snoozes at your feet—bliss!

 

Day 2: Outdoor Adventures and Local Cuisine

Morning: Outdoor Exploration
Scotland is famed for its breathtaking scenery. From the mountains to the coast the landscapes here are truly astonishing, simply beckoning to be uncovered and the best way to do this is on foot. 

So begin your day with a long walk together. Whether you’re exploring the coastal paths around Fife, the countryside trails around Crieff, ascending routes in the Scottish Highlands or taking in the magnificence of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, you will be simply spoilt for choice. 
Each location offers unique trails that are perfect for stretching your legs and taking in the beauty of the Scottish countryside. We do kindly remind pet-owners to check rules on dogs on leads during any walk, being mindful of nesting wildlife and birds to ensure their safety. 

After your morning walk, treat yourself to a delicious meal at a pet-friendly eatery. If you’re near Loch Tay or Crauchan, the Boathouse is an excellent choice with its pet-friendly menu and lovely views. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy lunch with your furry friend. 

 

Afternoon: Pet-Friendly Activities
Experience the charm of Fife with a dog-friendly boat trip. Your furry friend will love the fresh sea air and scenic views, making for a memorable afternoon adventure.
Spend a relaxing afternoon on a dog-friendly beach. Let your dog run free on the sand and splash in the waves while you soak up the sun. It's the perfect way to enjoy some quality time together.

Golf enthusiasts can rejoice as there are several dog-friendly golf courses in the area. Bring your pet along for a round of golf, and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and well-kept greens with your four-legged caddy. See which golf courses are pet-friendly here.

Head to Loch Tay for a wild swimming experience with your dog. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for a refreshing dip, and plenty of other activities to enjoy in the area, ensuring a fun-filled day for you and your pet.

Take a scenic boat trip on Loch Lomond with your pet. Explore the stunning trails and attractions nearby, making the most of the natural beauty and peaceful surroundings. It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in the great outdoors.

As evening approaches, find a cosy pet-friendly pub where you can unwind with a drink and some local fare. Many local pubs welcome pets in their outdoor seating areas, providing a pleasant atmosphere for both you and your pet. Whether you're in Crail, Crieff, Killin, or Stirling, you'll find welcoming spots to enjoy a relaxing evening. Near Loch Tay and Crauchan, Shutters Restaurant is a pet-friendly option with children's portions, just an 8-minute drive away. In Braidhaugh, visit Craobh-Kroov, and in Crail, check out The Shoregate, a popular dog-friendly pub. For those near Campsie Glen, the Fintry Inn offers dog bowls, blankets, and treats for your furry companion, ensuring a delightful evening for all.

 

Day 3: Leisurely Departure

Morning: Relaxation and Departure
Spend a leisurely morning at your accommodation or explore any missed spots in the local area. This is a great time for a final walk with your pet, soaking in the last moments of your Scottish adventure before heading for home. 

Afternoon: Farewell
Depart from your pet-friendly stay with wonderful memories of your trip.
